Costa Verde Center Revitalization re-imagines a 1989 neighborhood shopping center as a mixed-use mobility hub that embodies the coastal vibe characteristic of San Diego. The anticipated extension of the San Diego Trolley creates a new terminus station with adjacent 400,000 sf of creative office, 178,000 sf of retail and dining, and a 200-key boutique hotel. The redevelopment manifests a paradigm shift in mixed-use typology, blending TOD, retail, dining and creative office into a destination campus environment. Envisioned as a new landmark for innovation, commerce and community, the center is planned as an energetic hub for the technology community that embraces the lifestyle and entrepreneurial energy of modern San Diego. Plans for Costa Verde Center encourage public transit, walking, bicycling and other modes of transportation, furthering progressive mobility in the area.
