The objectives of this project were to create a sacred spiritual refuge where within anyone can freely enter an intimate relationship with God, to create a strong connection between the urban corner, adjacent high-rise mixed-use community, & urban-scale people's park to the north west, and provide a flexible community facility that can be used for learning, discussing & revelling in fellowship, and administrative functions. The central worship hall accomodates 600 parishioners on two levels. Four massive floor to ceiling glass panels are strategically positioned to maximize daylight orientation during morning and afternoon services. All other light is introduced into the space via colored glass apertures aligned with specific circulation paths to create heavenly light as one moves vertically within the space. The fellowship hall, classrooms, and offices are located within the five-storey corner building.
